Savarii, more widely known to the realms as The Lord of the Flies, is the Goddess of Outcasts, Gluttony, Hiveminds. She represents the persecuted, reviled, grotesque and unconventional concepts. She is a patron deity to cults and covens and is known to encourage contrarianism and disdain for tradition in her followers. The Xerithid Race is created in her image, many of its members hailing directly from her bloodline.

Savarii’s true allegiance has been nebulous, and has played both parts of antagonist and ally to Gaia and her larger pantheon. Formerly an ally of the traitor god Edon, she was a key player in the conspiracy to betray Gaia and the attempted usurpation of the Divine Laws. However, she had turned traitor to the cause and revealed the conspiracy to Gaia’s Loyalists. Like all the survivors of the ritual, she lost her immortality.

Appearance(s)

Default Form

Savarii prefers to appear as a tall, slender woman with pale purplish skin and insectoid qualities. Wherever she is on the scale of “terrible bug monster” to “humanoid” can vary based on her mood on any given day and desire to disturb an audience. She seems to keep her more anthropomorphic qualities consistent, with very few exceptions. Her face is slightly pallid and gaunt, all the while carrying the aesthetic of a highborn, sophisticated woman with well defined features and notable cheekbones. Instead of hair, she has chitinous tendrils, tentacles and monstrous leeches that all move independent from one another, seemingly all carrying their own minds and personalities.

A series of horns and spikes merge with the exoskeleton near her face which creates a foreboding crown and mask which covers the left side of her face.

Savarii has five humanoid bright red eyes aligned in an arc across her face, with several compound eyes spaced across the rest of her face. She has several pairs of mandibles near her mouth, which extends all the way to where one’s ears would be.

Insect like legs and wings grow from her back and hips, forming something akin to a long, elegant dress. As such, her outfits are a mix of darker veils and accessories intertwined with her natural features such as claws, insect-like limbs and her folded wings. Most of her “outfits” seem to be made from parts of her own body.

Savarii’s Apparition

When appearing in a weaker form or summoned by ritual, she appears as a cluster of various insects, bugs and larva that all organise themselves to form a large, humanoid shaped pile. Many of her features are fuzzier as insects and parasites crawl over one another to keep up the semi-human form. This form rarely has legs or added limbs and is often the closest to a human shape.

On occasion, these insects may possess the carcass of a sacrifice and take its appearance, although giving it a distinct look of rot and fragility.
