Help:FAQ

From Divinity

This is the FAQ for the Divinity Wiki. If you have any questions that aren't answered here, let Silly know.

Who can contribute?

Anyone! Or, well, anyone who has an approved character on Divinity. Just make an account, and get writing. We like to keep a vague idea of who owns which account, so once you've signed up, let us know on the discord. You may need to have an account that's a few days old to edit certain pages.

Can I add pages about other people's characters/realms/etc.?

Yes. However, if you plan to copy-paste any of their descriptions directly to the wiki, please ask for permission first and make your sources clear.

Can I add pages related to official lore?

Yes, if you want to help by formatting Divinity's rules/lore, or to reference them here, you're welcome to. You have permission to copy anything Silly has written to this Wiki. You may also write up the Chronicles and Laws of Divinity, and use answers I've given in help threads if you believe reformatting it here will help people.

Are there any rules for images/uploads?

  • File Size: Try to keep file sizes reasonable. There should be enough storage space for numerous reasonable additions, but if the server gets full I'll have to eventually upgrade, and that'll cost money. If you have a file that's large, like a big PNG of a detailed map, let me know first. If possible, upload a .jpg or other smaller file type.
  • No AI: This Wiki should remain free of any AI-generated content. Articles should not be written by AI, and we will delete any AI generated images/artwork that gets uploaded. Storage space is generally reserved for art commissioned or made and contributed by our members.
  • Respect Copyright: If you upload art you didn't make, ensure it's appropriately credited, and that it can be posted without infringing on copyright. However, it is preferred to keep non-original artwork to a minimum.
  • Content: Only upload things that would be suitable to post on the discord. Keep it safe for work.
